Community Peace-building Resources

On Sat, Nov. 5, 2011, three artists -- Toni Stuart, Ingrid Askew, and Janet Aalfs --  presented a weave of poetry, martial arts, and storytelling that continued a 2009 performing arts/ teaching exchange between Cape Town, South Africa and western Massachusetts/ Connecticut, U.S.A.   A group of VWMA/ HAVPS students and teachers joined the final piece with San Chin, a breath form that connects the here-and-now and ancestral realms. Audience members shared ideas and projects regarding cultural activism. The following resource list emerged.
